A friend of mine encouraged me to start this blog. (Thanks Don!) I plan to write about what I am learning and processing as I am . . . planting a church // reading my Bible and other Christian books // and listening to podcasts by some of my favorite pastors and preachers.

Big D I am a friend of Craig Langes He told you were doing a study on Uprising. Is that in tonights message or is that a small group thing you are doing at another time? Please advise

    • Dan Kopp says:

Hi Dave – Yes, I talked about doing a small group based on McManus’ Uprising book. But that idea is on the shelf for the time being. Instead, I believe the next curriculum I’ll be writing will be Vineyard 101 for our church plant.

    Hi Dan,

My fiance and I are getting married September 17 2011. You married a couple of our friends a few years ago. They could not find your contact information, but I was lucky enough to stumble upon your blog. If you are available on our date we would love to meet you! Please feel free to contact me at the email address provided. : )

At the hospital with my grandmother Myrtle Moore! She was telling me what a wonderful preacher you are and I was wondering where you are preaching now!

    • Dan Kopp says:

Hi Sheri — thanks for the note. I am lead pastor at The Eastside Vineyard Church in Shelby Township. We gather at Shelby Jr. High at 10:30am on Sundays. Our website is tevchurch.org and has all of the info. Please stop by this coming Sunday!

    Hi Dan,

My name’s Andy and I’m messaging you from London (couldn’t find an email to contact you by). Reason I’m getting in touch is that I and my wife-to-be are looking to come to the US in October to experience church in a different context and learn from others doing new expressions of mission in inner-city/urban contexts.

We’ve been praying about this and Detroit has been on my heart (in the UK there have been a number of articles about the city, its bankruptcy and poverty), so we’re exploring whether God is calling us to your neck of the woods for a couple of months to learn, serve and grow.

If you think you may be able to help us to experience church and mission in Detroit would you be willing to email me? I can then let you know more about who we are, our backgrounds, and what we would be hoping to do.

    Every blessing
